“Fooled Around And Fell In Love” – Elvin Bishop

Here’s the only tune I remember being done by The Elvin Bishop Group. Even though he’s
mentioned in Charlie Daniels’ ‘The South’s Gonna Do It’ he was always a guy with a specific
place in the roster and not a huge name. This song was sung by Mickey Thomas who went on
to become the front man/singer sharing the spotlight with Grace Slick in the ’80s rock band
The Jefferson Starship. I remember thinking to myself, ‘MAN, I didn’t know Elvin Bishop had
a voice like THAT!’. Evidently he didn’t :=) Well, please have a look at Kevin sending that one
