“It Never Rains In Southern California” – Albert Hammond

Albert Hammond enjoyed a monster hit with this song. The production was done by the
top-notch Wrecking Crew and holds up well today. A Billboard #5, this one still evokes
“I LOVE THAT SONG” whenever it’s played. The lyrics represent what I believe to be a
commonplace occurrence in California experienced by countless people who went there
to find their fame and fortune.

Saw your show last night in Richmond, VA and had a great time! It was so much fun to listen and sing along with all of the songs (I actually remembered all of them!). The song “It Never Rains in SoCal” brought back a wonderful memory of the early 90’s when on a very rainy night our family went to a local restaurant and they had a guitarist playing. He played that song and my wife, my son and I stood up to sing the chorus with him! A fun memory, so THANK YOU for bringing it back!
